This rice is used to treat imbalances in the body and increase the bowel movement. 26 kg Gobindobhog Rice is also useful for weight by eating as a boiling way. It is cultivated with a proper care to prevent all the dust.
Cooking Method
- 1. Rinse required quantity of Gobindobhog rice thoroughly and allow to soak in water for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Then remove water from the rice over a ;strainer.
- 2. Add green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves mixed powder, turmeric powder, a little amount of ghee and adequate salt with the soaked rice. Mix it thoroughly and rest for 30 minutes.
- 3. Keep ready some boiled water in a separate pot.
- 4. Pour ghee in a Kadai and add green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, 1- or 2-piece red chili, cashew and raisins. Then fry the mixture.
- 5. Now add the rice with the fried mixture and pour the boiled water with it as per the ratio of 1 cup rice with 2 cup water. Boil the preparation for 10 minutes and add sugar at the last time of cooking.
- 6. Before serve, spray a small quantity of ghee over the cooked Polao.
